Lets be real: Who doesnt love a spa day?
Published on August 21, 2008 at 3:01am
Mans best friend might be a furry, slobbery animal, but we know what girls best friend is and were not thinking about diamonds. Who needs a shiny rock when there are spa treatments to be enjoyed? While a diamond does nothing but sit on your finger, look pretty, and encourage sanctimonious types to lecture you about their possibly bloody origin, a spa treatment can relax your mind, body, and spirit while making you look ever more beautiful. Theres no contest. The people at Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club get that. They understand that every month or so, you deserve the opportunity to kick up your feet and have someone scrub them for you. Hence theres B.F.F. Spa Night, a monthly affair where you and your homegirls can indulge in mini-treatments, cocktails, and chick flicks.
By the by, B.F.F. doesnt stand for best friend forever; its all about back rubs, facials, and foot scrubs. For $45, you can wander the vast halls of this gorgeous relaxation oasis, rest during a chair massage while you wait for a tarot card reading, sip a cocktail while getting a hand massage, and nosh on spa bites while cackling over a rerun of Sex and the City. It takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. the last Wednesday of every month, unless, yknow, theres a holiday. Reservations are required, so call 305-933-6930 to hook yourself up.
